About Rebecca

Hello, and welcome to my website! I created this page because I know that finding the right counsellor is more than just a matter of certain credentials or the right location. Those things are important, absolutely! But equally important is finding a counsellor whose way of offering therapy is a match for your personality, the topics you wish to address, and the goals you have for counselling. You will be investing your time, money, and trust in the counselling process… you deserve to have confidence that you are making the right investment.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist and Canadian Certified Counsellor-Supervisor and have had the privilege of serving clients in London, Ontario and the surrounding area since 2008.
I incorporate tools and perspectives of several counselling orientations: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness-based approaches, and others.
Methods aside, I work from a client-centred perspective, respecting you as the authority on your life. I view my role as supporting you in constructing the path from where you are today to where you want to be. This may include challenging you, encouraging you as you address potential pitfalls, and aiding you in identifying strengths that will help you create the life you are seeking.
If trauma or abuse have been part of your history, my role will also include supporting you in creating safety within your own nervous system as you heal and move forward from those painful elements of your past.
I approach every counselling relationship with curiosity, enthusiasm, and hope. I am passionate about enlisting your inner resources as well as offering new tools to address the issues you are facing. I know that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing. If you are ready to begin and think my approach may be a fit for you, I welcome your call.

A special note: I strive to be mindful of systemic harms done to individuals and groups – including those harms that are ongoing – and am committed to inclusive, anti-oppressive practice. In this spirit, I welcome feedback regarding my website and my practice. Please contact me if you have questions or concerns.
